BHG Fund

The Blood Heart Group Fund seeks to make an impact on graduation levels and the pursuit of higher education in urban youth. A portion of all sales will be added to The BHG Fund to direct focus on inner-city kids who otherwise lack the same resources and opportunities as their upper class counterparts. Recognizing contributing social and economic conditions, BHG believes students can be encouraged to complete school through glimpses of hope and triumph. These messages are depicted on BHG apparel through a medium that urban youth embraces: fashion.

The Fund will allow BHG to provide free shirts to those in need and a yearly trip for select youths to visit historical sites associated with figures on BHG apparel. The BHG team works with schools and youth centers across the nation, speaking to children about the importance of education and the pursuit of dreams. Within the next two years, BHG hopes to influence graduation rates and college attendance of the students with whom BHG interacts through The Fund.

BHG’s effect on education will be measured by the number of youth addressed at BHG events. Additionally, up to 50 students will be selected based on need and merit to be mentored through high school with the goal of achieving graduation and enrollment in college. If some of these students, who did not previously plan to continue their education, chose to enroll in college, we believe BHG is making strides to help youth. The BHG Fund is not simply about tutoring or test prepping, but about inspiring youth to go for their dreams while providing support to make those dreams a reality.
